We count visits so we know which pages help people find a plumber. No ads, no data selling, no screen recording. Until you accept the banner, nothing about you is stored on your device.

What is measured

One tool: PostHog, a product-analytics service, on the public pages. It records:

  • Page views and page exits: which page, when.
  • Taps on a plumber's phone number. We see that a call started, never the call or the number you dialled.
  • Sending the quote form or the claim form, opening a listing from a city page, and clicking one of the sources we cite.
  • How far down a page people scroll, taps that hit nothing, and JavaScript errors. That last one is the only error monitoring this site has.
  • Technical details your browser sends with any request: page address, referring site, browser, screen size, and your IP address, which is turned into an approximate city and country and is never shown to us as an address.

General click tracking is switched off on purpose, and session recording is off. Only the events above are collected.

Separately, our own server keeps a bare count of page views: the page, the referring site, the country and whether the visitor looked like a bot. No IP address, no cookie, no identifier. It exists so we can count honestly even when the analytics above is blocked.

What is stored on your device

That depends on the banner, and there are two states.

  • Before you choose, and if you decline: nothing. Analytics runs in memory only. Visits are counted, but nothing survives the tab closing, so a return visit cannot be recognised.
  • If you accept: a cookie and a small entry in your browser's local storage, which is what lets a repeat visit be recognised as the same anonymous visitor. Your answer is remembered so the banner does not come back.

Nothing here identifies you by name. There are no accounts and no login.

If you send the quote form

We keep your name, phone number, message, city, and your email if you gave one. We send those to up to three verified businesses in your city so they can call you back. That is the entire point of the form, and it is the only place your details go.

We do not sell them, we do not send them to anyone you did not ask for, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

If you claim a listing

We keep the email address you claimed with and a one-time link we email you. Once confirmed, that address becomes the contact for the listing and is where quote requests go. It is never shown on the public page.

Business listings

Listings are built from public business information: a company's own website, public listing sites, and state licence lookups. We publish a business name, phone, address, hours, services and licence where those are already public.

We do not publish personal home addresses or personal phone numbers. If a listing shows something wrong, or you want it gone, email us and we act within 7 days. No reason needed.

Who else sees this

  • PostHog for the analytics above. Servers in the United States.
  • Cloudflare hosts and serves the site.
  • Supabase holds the listings, claims and quote requests. Servers in the United States.
  • Resend sends our email.
  • Google Fonts serves the two typefaces, so Google's font servers see the request.
  • Paddle will handle payments when the paid tiers open. Card details go to them and never to us.
  • Anthropic models build listings from public sources. Only the public information being checked is sent, and it is not used to train models.

Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising network on this site.

How long we keep it

  • Analytics events: 12 months, then deleted by PostHog.
  • Our own server view counts: 12 months.
  • Quote requests: 24 months, so we can settle a dispute about a lead.
  • Claims and listing contacts: for as long as the listing exists.

Opting out and asking for your data

  • Choose Decline on the banner and analytics stays memory-only.
  • Already accepted? Clear cookies and site data for prolistly.com and the banner will ask again.
  • Blocking the script, or turning JavaScript off, also works. The site is built to work identically without it.
  • To opt out permanently on a device, set pl-internal to 1 in this site's local storage. Nothing is then sent from that browser, ever.

To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, email hello@prolistly.com. We answer within 14 days.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Made by Wacho, a sole proprietorship run by Wacho in Quito, Ecuador, reachable at hello@prolistly.com.

This page is the plain-language copy of what the site's code actually does. When the measurement changes, this page changes with it.
